What is an IEC (Institutional Ethics Committee)?
Institutional Ethics Committee is an independent body constituted of medical, non-medical, scientific, and non-scientific members whose responsibility is to ensure the protection of the rights, safety, and well-being of human subjects involved in the trial by, among other things, reviewing, approving, and providing a continuing review of trial protocols and amendments.

Mamata Fertility Hospital, formerly known as Infertility Institute and Research Center, is actively involved and promotes research activity in the field of reproductive medicine and gynaecology & obstetrics.
The institute registered Institute Ethics Committee ( IEC ) with DCGI under the government of India under Rule 122DD has the Registration No. ECR / 1196 / Inst / TG / 2019.

Aim of our IEC
Our IEC reviews every research proposal and evaluates the possible risks to the subjects, expected benefits and adequacy of documentation for ensuring privacy, confidentiality and justice.
Guidelines followed by Indian IEC’s
In India, Ethics Committee for Research on Human Subjects presently functions according to the requirements laid down in Schedule Y and is guided by the ICH GCP guidelines for Clinical Practice, ethical principles set forth in the Declaration of Helsinki and the Ethical Guidelines for Biomedical Research on Human Subjects laid down by Indian Council of Medical Research.
