How long does it normally take to get pregnant naturally?

In couples who have regular sexual intercourse once every 2-3days, about 80%-85% of them become pregnant naturally within a year and 95% get pregnant within 2years of trying this way.

Chances of pregnancy increase when menstrual cycle is regular and they have intercourse around the time of ovulation( egg release)

The chances of natural pregnancy reduces in women over the age of 35 and men over the age of 50.

The limitation to these success rates could be the absence of either eggs or sperm in the couples, when they fail to get pregnant after having tried for a year and report for evaluation by a doctor.

American society reproductive medicine (ASRM) says: “Regular menstrual cycles, age and number of months of trying to get pregnant are the important  factors that affect  chance of pregnancy”. You and your partner have the highest chance of conceiving in the first 3 months of trying.

What does infertility mean?

Infertility is the  failure to achieve a pregnancy after 12 months of regular sexual intercourse, once in every 2-3 days, without the use of any contraception method.
